I came from the Philippines and have migrated to Canada, Vancouver to be specific. I am blessed to be here and be able to live my dream. Canada has given me all that I will ever need, the freedom to be whoever I want to be, freedom of faith, but most of all, the freedom to be me. The possibilities here are endless, if you can think and dream it, you definitely can do it, :). I love it here in Vancouver. I have made new friends, and this is where I plan to stay. So many things I can do still, so many places I need to see, so many people I still have yet to meet.
I am writing this journal because like me, I know that there are many others out there who have journeyed and moved to a different country for the sake of a greener pasture. Some of them have left their families and friends behind, so they can give them a better life. And even though we have already made our lives wherever we may be in this world, we still, at some point in our life start to miss our home countries.
Having reached that point in my life, I realized that what I miss the most about my country, Philippines, are the people I love, my family,
my mom and dad, my one and only brother, my lovely sisters, my very kind brother in law, Tito Frank, my nephew and niece, and soon to be another niece
whom I haven't had the chance to meet yet, my friends, the food, the cities I have already been to, the beautiful island resorts, and the festivities.
This website is dedicated to my very supportive mom and dad, my brother and sisters, my friends, people in different parts of the world making a living to support themselves and their families. It is an invitation for people to visit and experience this part of Asia, Philippines, the Filipino hospitality, the sights and sounds, and our culture.
It is also an invitation to check out Vancouver, Canada, because that is where I am right now. Experience the changing of the season, meet the people, taste the food, and see the sights.
